A Letter from Monty

Monty When I think of Snoqualmie Valley Alliance I think of people. People choosing to follow Jesus Christ as their forgiver and leader. I think of marriages and families restored, of lives moving from bondage to freedom – from imbalance to balance. And I think of people who are willing to serve each other and share their faith with friends who are not yet in relationship with Jesus Christ.

Purchasing our first facility represents an important crossroads in the life of our church. It also presents each of us with a chance to grow in faith and invest our finances and lives into God’s work in our community and the world.

In November of 1999 we started with nine families at Opstad Elementary with a trailer in tow. As the church grew, we moved to Mount Si High School and went to multiple services along with multiple trailers. In the fall of 2005 we moved to our current location at Spring Glen that now serves as a missional outpost for the over 400 families and the many ministries of SVA. In the spring of 2007, with the possibility of losing the Spring Glen facility to another buyer, the congregation unanimously voted to purchase the campus. In order to move forward and continue the ministry we’ve been called to, as well as make the campus safe and inviting, there is much to be done.

This Building Faith website explains the plans in more detail.

The cost to purchase and remodel this facility is too great for only a few to carry. That’s why each of us will need to do our part. It will take 100% participation for this to become a reality. During the history of Snoqualmie Valley Alliance, many have given sacrificially so we can experience all that we have today. Now, it’s time for all of us who call this church our home to join together as we embark on Building People – Building Future – Building Faith!
