Frequently Asked Questions Why do we need a building program like “Building Faith?” Three-year campaign allows us enough time to raise the resources to purchase and expand our new facility, provide parking and landscaping and equip the campus for ministry.     Why do we want to increase our facilities? Increasing the size of our facilities will allow more room for more people. We desire to present the Gospel to everyone in the Northwest. Expanded facilities will allow us to provide more for our community and our congregation.     What priorities were considered as the plans and goals were made? The entire campus is designed in light of a commitment to excellence, not extravagance. We believe buildings are to be tools for ministry, not monuments, so our campus has been designed for maximum ministry at minimal cost.     Are there environmental or “green” impacts being considered? Our goal is to take the environment into consideration at every turn. We are considering the materials being used, as well as the impact on the surrounding area. Additionally we are seeking to make the building as cost efficient as possible regarding ongoing maintenance.     Will we continue missions and other ministries during the three years of the campaign? SVA is committed to serving our community and the world just as we always have. That is why the pledges that you are making are separate, and over and above the regular tithes of the church body.     What is the difference between my one-time pledge and my three-year commitment? The one time commitment is for the down payment and to ensure that we can begin the purchase. The three-year commitment will allow us the time to raise the resources to upgrade and remodel the campus.     What happens if I can’t fulfill my pledge? Your pledge is made in faith. We will be praying and believing with you for favor and financial increase. You may contact the church anytime to readjust the amount of your pledge commitment.
